Fat Campus is committed to researching, defining and
providing the highest quality resources for all aspects of
the collegiate experience. Our focus is in four areas:
- Providing solid, useful advice and information
presented in a concise and easy to read manner. These
guides range from academic strategies to financing your
college education to moving beyond the university and into

- Researching, categorizing and linking to other
websites which supply resources and information of
interest and import to college students. These sites are
not lists of links that link to other lists of links.
Instead we value originality and unique content above all
else. The academic related links
contain data, tutorials and
background information that will serve to assist the
understanding of the subject in question as well as
providing ideas for research projects and papers.
We especially feature sites that are free to visit and
use. This category also includes a large variety of fun
things to see and do on the internet.
- Providing entertaining things to do. We currently have
vintage videos to watch from the early days of
filmmaking,
viral videos taken from the web,
games
to play for free that we host, our own
comics
created for us by Detroit based artist Yul Tolbert and an
eclectic selection of links to some of the most
entertaining or unusual places on the world wide web.
- Developing partnerships with reputable vendors to
offer our visitors student oriented services and products
of the highest quality, and at prices that students can
afford.
SECURITY
Fat Campus is a spyware, adware and popup free website.
Honestly we just don't understand why some websites and
companies use these forms of "marketing". All they do is to
irritate the consumer. We want our visitors to return time
and time again and to recommend our site to their friends.
Making Fat Campus free of these unethical and annoying
tactics is simply being courteous. Our aim is to treat you,
our visitors, like we'd like to be treated.
HISTORY
FatCampus.com began way back in the waning years of the 20th
century. At first it was a site promoting the Chase College
Student Credit Card program. The site also proved to be a
convenient place to store and display some links to other
sites that we frequented and recommended to friends and
acquaintances. At some point these links started to become
integral to the content of the site. Then we took the next
step and began to write our own articles, added some stores,
videos, games etc. Now Fat Campus is updated daily and just
seems to have a life of it's own.
